You can meet with a housing counselor to verify your readiness for the mortgage process. Then, based on your qualifications, your counselor will match you to mortgages available through the HomeOwnership Center's lender partners.
If you choose one of the options presented, your counselor will coordinate the mortgage application process directly with the lender and provide ongoing guidance and advocacy on your behalf throughout the loan process. Your closing will be held at the HomeOwnership Center, providing an opportunity for your counselor to review closing documents with you.
This process eliminates the potential of predatory lending practices while increasing the efficiency and success of your application process.
The Link to Loans program is perfect for first-time homebuyers, existing homeowners considering a new purchase, and people refinancing a home or getting a home equity loan.
Current lender partners include Fifth Third Bank, National City Bank, JPM Chase, Union Savings Bank, Wells Fargo, US Bank and Wright Patt Credit Union.
