St. Mary Development Has Homes For Sale!
St. Mary Development Corporation is holding a ribbon cutting and open house for two of its newly rehabbed Neighborhood Stabilization Program homes. The event, on April 18 from 1 to 3 pm at 50 Ringgold Street in Dayton, will provide the opportunity to tour homes at 38 and 50 Ringgold.
The City of Dayton provided St. Mary Development with Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds to redevelop vacant, abandoned or foreclosed properties in the InnerEast and Dayton View Triangle neighborhoods. After the homes have been completely renovated, they are offered for purchase. Assistance to income-eligible buyers is provided by the HomeOwnership Center of Greater Dayton, a program of St. Mary Development.
"Our NSP homes are a great value," says Beth Deutscher, Executive Director of the HomeOwnership Center. "The homes have been completely renovated yet have very reasonable prices. Buyers are also eligible for a 10-year tax abatement on the value of the improvements."
Features of the homes include new kitchen cabinets and interior finishes; wood and tile floor surfaces in many rooms; new Energy Star appliances, water heaters, furnaces, windows and doors.
St. Mary Development's HomeOwnership Center may be able to help buyers qualify for a home mortgage. Down payment assistance of up to 10% of the purchase price is available for qualified buyers. This assistance may be used toward down payment and/or costs associated with closing, up to a maximum of $14,999. The assistance is provided as a 0% interest, deferred loan, forgiven over five years.
